Day 22 - Cycled for 20 kilometres! And also started reading new books!

I’m sorry there were no posts for the past 3 days, it’s just that all these days went into doing nothing, only Annual Day and tuition, including some extra homework the teachers give because we’re missing academics (why ruin my dreams). Anyway, I wake up non cranky, be fresh and see the new TVF video. There were no books to carry for me, because the I.C.T book I needed, was resting in my locker.

I reached school, while reading the Da Vinci Code, by Dan Brown. I am hooked to it, and I find it great literature. I have the new cover, which I find better than the previous one (Which cover do you like the most? The new one or the old one? Comment below). The workout was again dodged, because of me going by the elevator. Most of the elevator time went into thinking about the book.
I.C.T time. I continued excelling at excel, and I finished all of the exercises. Now I could continue reading my book, again. In 1 day, I finished 27 chapters, which I felt was an accomplishment. After this, I moved back to annual day, and did a table read with the actors. After 45 minutes of dialogue delivery, break.

I had south Indian food today, which included Idli and Wada, which is a rice cake sort of thing and a deep fried cake or something of that sort respectively (leave your definitions in the comments below). I had quite a lot today, so did not have other tiffin boxes.
The whole day went into rehearsing, and when I was free, I began flipping the pages to this classic. It’s one good book. Slowly, the day was coming to an end. And it ended.
I was free this evening, so I thought to take out my cycle. By 4:00 in the afternoon, I took it out for some repairs, and by 4:30 was out, planning out a friends meet. They were also free, and we made a plan for cycling together.

We couldn’t find each other, because there was a miscommunication. I was standing in front of a blue board with the same brand, whereas my friends were standing in front of a red board with the same brand. You must’ve gotten the rest. Moving on, we reached a lake, where we did off road dirt cycling, which wasn’t at all fun for my cycle. It’s 2 years old, and meant for stuff like daily commute. Its mud guard broke off. I wasn’t let down by that, and I continued. The annoying and cracking sound of the mud guard had also accompanied my friends to the end of the journey.
One of my friends left, and only 2 of us were here. My house was really far from his place, and we had reached his place. I went to his home, rested, and was out for mine. It was really far. But after struggles and a sore body, I reached home.

I had realised that I had cycled for 20 kilometres today, which was massive. I was shocked myself. I think the sore body was a clue that I had had some extreme exercise. Tomorrow, I’m going to have to give my cycle for servicing, so I’ll just go for a jog tomorrow. After editing this and having my Rajma Rice, which is my dinner, I will have a peaceful sleep, because I’m extremely tired.

Day 21 - Wetlands Conservation Gathering!

I thought I would get at the most a day to sleep and relax. But instead, I had to go see wetlands. That’s right, I had gone to represent my school at a wetlands conservation, near my school only. So, I woke up, got ready, and was out the house for school.

I reached school and was greeted by a surprise. My school ground is getting turf! Yes, now football will be fun. I can’t really play, but I’m new to the game, means it’ll take me time. Just some advice, if you are trying to get new into the game and talk about this to somebody who knows football, be prepared for getting them to laugh at you, because apparently, you’re too stupid to get to know the game. Well, you just ignore, and do what you want. Anyways, we were soon boarded into the bus and out for the walk by the wetlands.

We reached there, where we got placards to walk around with, which I gave to someone else. The whole walk was fun because I was with my friends, alone on this path would be very boring. We saw a lot of interesting stuff on the way, like wild cucumber, a jack fruit, and how the weather becomes cool and pleasant once we get closer to the mangroves. It was nice to know a lot about it by the guide, who was a very kind person, and knew a lot about wetlands. We walked the whole time, took some pictures of me, and then went for the short conference/meeting/gathering/call it whatever you want to.

My friends from my school were asked to tell the audience about something on wetlands, which they did, and they spoke really well. After their speech, the meeting had ended, and we had a little snack. The snack was a pocket mango juice, a veg puff, a couple of biscuits and a cake piece. Then, we went home.

I reached home, really tired. I just made myself some 2 minute noodles, and was fast asleep right after eating them.

I woke up at 7, hungry. I went out and got myself a little snack. Some crisps, 200ml of Coca Cola, and a small biscuit packet. I later came back to the housing complex, talked with some friends, and went back home.

The night was dinner time. Todays dinner was Mutton curry and fried Indian bread, which is always fun to eat. I then saw some of that’s 70’s show. After uploading, I’ll just go to sleep.

Day 20 – Great day to end the week!

Fridays are the best, because I get a two day off after those, which are the actual fun. Anyways, I was really, really sleepy, which was the result of the late night presentation I was making, as well as the caffeine containing mountain dew. I really like Mountain Dew, because it’s green, which is cool (I just used cool wrongly, didn't I?). I was up and working, with making the bus arrival just on time.

These days I use the elevator till the second floor, and then go up the stairs. Easy way out for everything. The day today involved only a Hindi class, in which we wrote about the children’s day celebration in school. If you want to know about my experience, just go scroll down to children’s day. After the Hindi class, we had only the Annual Day practice. The day wasn't very interesting, just the performance practice. The skit is about Determination, and you can check it out in a week from now, which is on the 29/11/14, on my second blog, www.amiteshspeaks.blogspot.com.

I play the main character, Rahul, who is a boy addicted to his phone. I’m not going to give away more than that. It’s really fun at times of rehearsals, there are hilarious outtakes, amusing bloopers and some really stupid activities happening. Sometimes the song is not being played at cue, or sometimes the cue is not being given. Whatever happens, the class is really trying their best and putting in their 100% in, for a great show. I don’t like how we have only 12 minutes on stage, and we need to do a lot. Anyways, after all this, cut to break.

I was busy doing some work today, so did not eat anything. I really mess up lines, like a lot. People working with me get really annoyed. Anyways, we are still working, and a lot of those bloopers are hilarious. I have also learnt that acting depressed or sad is not easy, and requires a lot of skill. Hats off to every actor who can act depressed. Whenever I’m down, which is rarely, I just don’t speak. Well on stage, it’s different. Anyways, after a hard day, I was done for today.

When I was home and just about to relax, I thought I was missing something. I had forgotten about tuition. Though I had nothing to prepare for it, I just couldn't sleep. Just saying, mathematics is not fun when you’re sleepy.

I’m learning sets. Which is easy. After classes, I slept 3 minutes into a big bang theory episode.

I woke up at 7:00pm, and then went out for getting my spectacles cleaned. There’s something greenish on it, which is making me curious and I’m questioning myself thinking how it got there. I got that cleaned, met some friends, had a drink (Pepsi.), and was back home. Today’s dinner was a chicken sandwich, because I wasn't that hungry.

That greenish thing if you can see, even I don't know what that is.

Now, I’m writing and updating my calendar, after uploading this will sleep.

Day 19 - I got the lead role for the Annual Day!

I felt different today, probably because I slept early yesterday, which makes this morning a fresh one. Easily was ready for the day, not at all tired, just fresh. I walked to the bus stop, and it was cool and pleasant today at 6:15.

I again had to walk the staircase like I do every day, but today was nice, because I didn’t have that heavy a bag. Tuesdays are good, because I don’t have a very heavy bag, and have at the most 4 free classes, so I can complete my assignments. The first 2 classes were free, so I started to work on the Annual Day script for December 6. I may also post our skit in a form of a story, on my second blog. The third class was mathematics, wherein we were taught about Sets. So all posts I do are a subset of this blog. And break.

Second half of the day was Economics, wherein we studied about consumer spending patterns and did some questions and answers. I really like how IGCSE economics goes into such detail, ICSE economics is just graphs. Later another free class, in which we had the script table read, and then just some sleep. Later was Biology, in which we learnt about the nitrogen cycle, and saw some disgusting and mind scarring images of weird plants and faeces. Later, Break.

Today I did not eat in the first break, and I leashed out on the second. Idli and Chutney for lunch, 6 Idlis. The day ended in another table read, some edits, and then I was watching the dance being choreographed. It’s amusing to see people who can’t dance dancing. It’s hilarious. And that’s how my day ended, with a laugh.

I got home, and was relieved that there was no tuition today, because I was extremely tired. I just did some writing for my second blog, and some homework. I also proof read the script again, and then had a nice 3 hour nap.

I woke up at 6:00, and because I had no homework, enjoyed watching some Big Bang Theory and that’s 70’s show. Both are very funny, and the actors are great, and just well written. While doing all this, food was ready, and I was hungry, which is no surprise. Today’s food was Egg curry and Indian Flatbread, with some Nestle Chocolate, and Yogurt. Nice to keep it simple and tasty. I did some other school related stuff, updated my twitter, and after uploading this, going to get a good sleep.

P.S – Please read my second blog tomorrow, wherein I and Abhay Sriwastawa do a collaboration post, telling a little about the Change in Google @ www.amiteshspeaks.blogspot.com

Day 18 - Usual Kind Of Monday. And I got a certificate!

Like every Monday, this Monday was no different, except a little. This Monday began as usual, me waking up to the phone alarm, begging god to press the rewind button for the Sunday. Anyways, I get up and am getting ready. I walk out in an hustle to catch the bus, and it's late: so I get to enjoy/suffer the unpleasant summer - winter type of weather. What I mean is, Mumbai weather is meant to be at least a little chilly, because it's November. But, Mumbai is a strong contender, it's still 30 degrees Celsius. With the cold heat surrounding me, I get into the school bus. I slept today, because not getting sleep at night is what someone should do to avoid this. With a peaceful 30 minutes of sleep, I reach school.

Workout time. I wonder why the school thinks it's fun to get the younger children to go by stairs who have light bags and more energy, whereas we seniors are just tired people who have hefty bags and we move ponderously up the stairs. Being a student is tough, because you've got to be tough. Anyway, the day began with us being told that our Annual Day was about to meet us in a few days, means we had to do something. And, it is a skit. And I am in the lead role. I am thinking to write a story on this for all of the readers of mine, if I plan it, will get you to know. I was happy, and a little scared. So many eyes on me, the concept itself scares me. Nevertheless, we learned how to summarize in English. And we bunked a class and started writing the script, which was only 6 dialogues. Then, it was break.

Only Samosa for break today, and the other boxes. Next class was Physics, in which it was about circuits. At the beginning, the circuit to my brain was open, no flow of knowledge. Later it closed. Then, it was some I.C.T. We're learning Excel, which I excel at. Then was some Hindi language, in which we wrote about the war between Android and iOS, and which is better. It may seem easy, but writing the word Android in Hindi is not that simple. The class eventually ended, and I completed the essay. Ring! The bell had indicated second break.

News had broken out that I'm getting a certificate because I went to first level of a science competition. I was so pleased that my hard work is being appreciated. I got a picture with the principal, and also the certificate.

Child Scientist sounds good. Sorry for the bad picture.
The day was close to end, and we did really nothing in Biology, except the carbon cycle, which is at the top of my tongue. That was my school day today.

I reached home, got myself a can of Coke, and just enjoyed, for the first half an hour, until tuition. I did quite a lot at tuition today, and I'm very very proud. After 2 hours of continues trigonometry, I wanted to sleep, cause(COS) I was tired.

I woke up 3 hours later, starving. I had fish and a big plate of rice, and on top that chicken mince and Indian Flat Bread. I later went to get eggs for tomorrow's breakfast, and also got myself some new drink in the market. I saw some Zakir Hussain videos, and now, after finishing this off, am going to go to sleep.

Day 17 - And I'm Back After A Very Long Vacation.

Finally, I'm back, and I apologize for the delay in writing. I was really wanting a break for sometime, had examinations, and then was on school vacation. Anyways, I'm back, and daily posts are now on. Even Sundays.

I woke up thinking I will blog today after a long time, because I am very free these days, and wanted to get the essence of writing again. But then my thought process was interrupted, because I had to get ready for school. The good thing about the day was that it was Children's day! Children's day, the one day you can enjoy the school premises like none other. I got ready for school, dressed up in casual clothing, a Batman T-Shirt and jeans, with casual and comfortable shoes, unlike the regular school shoes, which itch and burn your feet in the glazing hot sun. Anyways, I went to school, a happy guy.

This is the one day students get liberty of doing what they want and how they want to do it. No workout today on the 4 floor staircase today, I get to go by the elevator. which was nice. After a non tiring session of going up the elevator, the students were seated down and told about why is children's day celebrated, which is annual routine. The speech is also quite the same every time, I even think I remember the whole thing.

The teachers had organised games and food for the students, and it was kind of like a school fair. Games like throwing darts, tailing the donkey, were really common, and frankly, very childish for me. So, I played all. Nice to feel like a 8 year old again. And I also ate, a lot. There was Mumbai Chaat, Pasta, Pudding, Puffs, Fanta, and a lot more, which was consumed by me. It was 3 hours of coming to school and doing absolutely nothing.

Another activity we made up was playing football in our classroom, with a broken bottle. The fun we had kicking the football was  directly proportional to the amount of hurt we got with the piece of plastic. And trust me, we had a lot of fun.

Here's the latest football - The Bottlelani. Picture Credits - Abhay Sriwastawa.

The day was coming to an end, and so was the fun. People were not happy about the day getting over, but it had come. Bye bye children's day, meet you next year again.

I reached home, and was tired. I changed, was just about to sleep, when I realized that I can't, because tuition  was in  a couple of hours, and once I sleep, alarms are of no help, only water or a hit. So, I started watching the new TV series, Flash, which is fantastic, and just so fast. Anyways, after watching a couple of episodes, it was tuition time.

It was 16:30, and I really didn't want to eat anything, because I had stuffed myself with food in school. I just had tea, which was refreshing, and solved a couple of mathematical problems and did some homework.

Dinner was here, and I was starving, because I hadn't eaten since 5 hours. The dinner for today was Bengal Gram curry, and fried Indian Flatbread (Chola Puri), which was really fun to eat. I was sleepy, and slept relatively early than usual.
